Thomas & Betts Building Addition

The purpose and function of this Design/Build Butler building addition was to house a 20 ton bridge crane extension spanning 50’ and create enough room for fork trucks to move from one bay of the building to another, without exiting and re-entering the building. A huge motorized fabric roll up door was also installed to allow for easy material handling while exiting the building for further fabrication.

Red Wing Construction Company installed an enclave of complicated building foundations to support new mega ton presses, while the existing presses continued to operate. Scheduling and working in close partnership with the owner was essential in successfully accomplishing this specific phase of the project.
